Troy Hawks

Troy Hawkes received his BS in Geophysics for The University of Texas at Austin. Troy joined Chevron in 2012 joining the Seismic Data Processing Team with the Earth Science Department.


He has been part of many other teams to include Petrel Geophysical support for the Enterprise and currently working as a Subject Matter Expert for 3D pre and post-stack seismic data for the ingestion and consumption of data within the OSDU Cloud environment. He also provides tailored QC and processing for Business Units throughout the Enterprise utilizing SLB’s Omega Seismic Processing Suite. Prior to his role at Chevron, he enjoyed a 16-year career at Schlumberger where he was hired in Geco-Prakla, which later became WesternGeco. His roles there ranged from Transition Zone seismic acquisition QC Geophysicists, Multi-client 3D seismic data processing and a microseismic geophysicists working within the StimMap organization for hydraulic fracture monitoring.


In addition to his Earth Science experiences, Troy has always maintained a recruiting volunteer within the company and currently is the Recruiting Team Lead for the Earth Sciences and Veterans Ambassador at The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to university recruiting activities, Troy facilitates the Chevron booth at SEG/IMAGE Annual Meetings. Troy is also a 21-year Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Combat Veteran.
